- Conference
A three-day annual conference is held in the autumn in a different venue in the UK. It addresses a particular theme of topical interest and attracts an excellent range of speakers working in all sectors of archaeology. Reduced rates are available for members

- Seminars
Occasional day seminars are held to discuss current issues affecting the profession. Often held jointly with other organisations, such as the Archaeological Archives Forum.
- Training
A programme of practical sessions and workshops are organised. They are usually led by members of the society in their own museums. Reduced rates are available for members. Participation benefits your Continued Professional Development (CPD).
- Journal
'The Museum Archaeologist' is an annual publication of proceedings from the conference and is sent free of charge to members.
Back copies of the journal are also available at a reduced rate to members
- Newsletter
The society publishes a newsletter twice a year containing news, reviews, details of forthcoming events and short articles.
All members are welcome to submit items for publication, please contact the Newsletter Editor.
- Annual subscriptions
The society has two annual subscription dates. Members joining between April and September are invited to renew annually on 1 April.
Members joining between October and March are invited to renew annually on 1 October.

- The Society produces and distributes free of charge to all members the Museum Archaeologists News twice a year. This Newsletter contains news, reviews, details of forthcoming events, and short articles.
- The Society holds an annual conference at different venues across the UK each year. It addresses a particular theme or themes of topical interest.
- The Museum Archaeologist is an annual publication of conference proceedings issued free of charge to members. Back copies are available for purchase from the Society.
- A programme of practical sessions and training workshops is also run, with day seminars also being held to discuss current issues affecting the profession, often jointly with other organisations.
- The Society also publishes a variety of monographs relating to its work in developing awareness of museum archaeology issues, and standards for application at a practical level. These are available for purchase at a reduced rate to members.
